Long time no see

I am so bad at managing my social media. There are also so many things (I think) to manage, FB, Ins, blog, QQ posts, WeChat posts, .................. etc. After I had my 2 boys since 2016. It gave me a perfect excuse being lazy.
In a few months the boys will be 3 and I haven't written a single post yet.
OK ok, I have some time now for designing and posting. I will try to keep it up.
Lately I got my Morehead Pullover published in Knitscene Winter 2018
Here are some pictures

The Cover of the Magazine

Morehead Pullover

There are a few tips for making it.
1. Fashion suggestion: Leave more ease than the sweaters you normally make because this slipped Garter stitch makes a little thicker fabric than the regular Garter stitch. It is very warm but if it fits too tight, it might looks a little swollen.
2. Please don't panic if you noticed that the front and the back are not the same width. I designed it that way. The front is about 4" narrower than the back. Just follow the pattern. You were not wrong.
3. This pullover works much easier than it looks. 2 rows before doing the dec, the first sl st of CC needs to give an extra tug to avoid loose st. The last st of CC needs to work looser to avoid tight st.

Kaolin Tunic -- Newest Published in Knitscene Winter 2015

There are more and more different Ethnic Styles on runways these days. The inspiration of this design came from the Han Zu women’s clothes in Qing Dynasty, China.
I always like linen stitch. The characteristic of it is the slip stitch. That made me think of the connection between linen stitch and mosaic knitting. So I changed the color every two rows to make this beautiful Baby Breath pattern. It works much easier than it looks.

The sweater is worked from the top down. It is seamless. The sleeves and hip have a trumpet shape. All the increases are worked in pattern.

I used a different yarn and different color, Queensland Collection Leché for my original one. BIG thank you to my friends: Model,
Irina Martinson and Photographer, Matt McKay.

Seaside Dress

My newest design Seaside dress has been published in Interweave Crochet Summer 2015.
I am so  satisfied  with this design.
I spent lots of time on the yarn choices, the color choices, and the schematic, before I started to pick up my hook.
I am really happy with the final results.
Here are some pictures for you. It is the first cover piece for me. Cheers! (Interweave Crochet/Harper Point Photography)

For the Earth Day--2 ways to make plastic yarn

In this video. I will teach you how to use recycled plastic grocery bag to make continuing yarn.

2 ways to make plastic yarn

If you use the 2nd way to cut the bag the same width of the 1st way, you will get double thickness yarn than using the 1st way.

We are going green!

Two Chart to explain Moth Wing Top Pattern

I got a question on Revelry about my design Moth Wing Top Pattern. Here is the question:

"The problem is after you move the stitch marker on row 25, you then have 3 extra stitches when beginning row 3 of the right wing. Row 1 of the right wing is fine but the extra 3 stitches have not been accounted for on row 3. I completely understand how this is supposed to look but as written it is not working for me. I have ripped this out 3 times. Sorry but I think there may be a problem."

These charts for explain the pattern after 25th row.
